Mitsubishi Xforce Receives Strong Early Demand in Malaysia

The upcoming Mitsubishi Xforce has already made a strong impression in Malaysia even before its official launch. More than 1,000 bookings were recorded within just one week after order books opened on February 5, 2026, showing strong interest from Malaysian buyers for the new B-segment SUV.

Initially, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) offered an early bird rebate of RM5,000 for the first 1,000 customers. However, due to the overwhelming response, the company has decided to extend the promotion to another 1,000 buyers, meaning 2,000 customers will now be eligible for the RM5,000 rebate.

For now, the Xforce is offered with estimated pricing while the company prepares for its official launch. The Urban variant is expected to be priced around RM110,000, while the range-topping Ultimate variant is estimated at RM120,000 (on-the-road without insurance). With the early bird rebate applied, the estimated prices drop to around RM105,000 for the Urban and RM115,000 for the Ultimate. The official price list is expected to be announced when the SUV launches in April 2026.

Under the bonnet, the Xforce is powered by a 1.5-litre MIVEC naturally aspirated petrol engine, the same unit used in the Mitsubishi Xpander. The engine produces 105 PS and 141 Nm of torque, sending power to the front wheels through a CVT transmission. The model will also be locally assembled (CKD) in Pekan, Pahang, reflecting Mitsubishi’s ongoing investment in the Malaysian market.

In terms of features, the Ultimate variant offers a range of modern equipment designed to enhance comfort and convenience. Highlights include automatic LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a large 12.3-inch infotainment display that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other premium touches include dual-zone air-conditioning with nanoe X air purification, multiple drive modes (Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud), a wireless charging pad, hands-free powered tailgate, and a Yamaha premium audio system with eight speakers.

Safety is also a key focus for the SUV. The Xforce comes equipped with six airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system, along with advanced driver assistance features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Mitigation with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lead Car Departure Notification, and Auto High Beam.

With strong early bookings and a competitive feature list, the Mitsubishi Xforce is shaping up to be an exciting new contender in Malaysia’s B-segment SUV market when it officially arrives later this year
