The Ministry of Finance (MoF) will begin the disbursement of the RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) aid starting February 9, 2026. Citizens are encouraged to verify their eligibility via the official portal at https://sara.gov.my effective immediately.
According to a post on the Ministry of Finance’s official Facebook page, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced last month that this financial assistance will be distributed to 22 million Malaysian citizens nationwide aged 18 and above.
"The aid will be credited directly into the recipients' accounts via their MyKad starting from February 9, 2026," the Ministry stated.
The Finance Ministry emphasized that this assistance is exclusively for Malaysian citizens holding a MyKad who are aged 18 and above. This includes existing recipients of monthly government welfare assistance.
