Proton Confirms Nov 27 Launch for 2026 All New Saga
The new model will be unveiled on November 27, with a live stream on Facebook and TikTok at 2.15 pm next Thursday.
Proton opened bookings for the updated Saga on November 10, and interest has been overwhelming. In less than a month, the all new Saga has already secured 10,000 bookings, with an indicative price of RM40,000–RM50,000. Many potential buyers have already seen the model up close at the paultan.org ACE 2025 event, where a camouflaged unit was displayed for visitors to inspect.
Under the hood, the all new Saga features a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine delivering 120 PS and 150 Nm, which is the non-DI version of the updated X50 engine. The lineup includes three variants (Standard, Executive, Premium) and offers two automatic transmission options — a 4AT or a CVT (Premium only). The car is now built on a strengthened AMA platform with a four-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.
Exterior updates include LED front and rear lights, while the cabin receives a major upgrade with a new dashboard design, featuring a dual-screen setup in a single panel and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In terms of safety, the Premium variant offers up to six airbags and Level 1 ADAS, while the lower trims come with two airbags and no ADAS.
