JOHOR BAHRU — The Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) is a joint initiative between Malaysia and Singapore aimed at strengthening cross-border economic cooperation and attracting investments to the region.
The initiative leverages Johor’s land resources and workforce together with Singapore’s financial and business ecosystem to support long-term regional growth and improve investment connectivity between both sides.
The JS-SEZ is expected to focus on key sectors including advanced manufacturing, digital economy and technology, logistics and supply chains, renewable energy and the green economy, as well as financial, business services, tourism and education.
The initiative aims to enhance cross-border economic activity, support job creation, and encourage business expansion within Johor and surrounding development corridors. It is also expected to provide a more coordinated investment environment for participating companies through relevant facilitation measures.
