International Workplace Group (IWG) is strengthening its presence in Malaysia’s flexible workspace market with the opening of a new Spaces centre at Republik TTDI in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), Kuala Lumpur, reflecting continued demand for coworking spaces and premium office solutions in the Klang Valley.
The expansion is part of IWG’s broader strategy to grow its global network of hybrid and flexible work locations, particularly in high-demand urban business districts such as Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
According to IWG PLC CEO and founder Mark Dixon, the company is deepening its footprint in Malaysia through strategic partnerships that enable the rollout of its Spaces brand within well-located commercial buildings.
He highlighted that TTDI is a strong business hub, making it an ideal location for expansion. The new centre is developed in collaboration with Kuala Sentral Point Sdn Bhd under a management agreement, positioning the workspace as part of a growing ecosystem of modern office solutions in Kuala Lumpur.
IWG Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei country head Vijayakumar Tangarasan noted that demand for high-quality flexible workspace remains strong, especially in established and well-connected neighbourhoods like TTDI. He emphasised that companies are increasingly prioritising accessibility, convenience, and workplace flexibility as part of post-pandemic working trends.
The new Spaces centre spans approximately 24,700 sq ft and offers a mix of coworking areas, private offices, meeting rooms, and creative workspaces. It is designed to cater to a wide range of industries including professional services, creative sectors, and technology-driven businesses.
Strategically located within Taman Tun Dr Ismail, the centre benefits from strong transport connectivity, including access to the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) and walking distance to the TTDI MRT station. Its location also provides easy reach to key commercial zones across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, reinforcing TTDI’s position as a growing hub for office space demand.
The project is part of the continued expansion of International Workplace Group, which operates multiple workspace brands including Spaces, Regus, and others. The group has been actively expanding its presence in Malaysia, where it already operates dozens of centres across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, reflecting strong demand for flexible office solutions and hybrid work models.
From a property market perspective, this expansion highlights a continuing shift in the Klang Valley office sector towards flexible workspace leasing, particularly in prime suburban hubs like TTDI, Mont Kiara, Bangsar, and Petaling Jaya. Developers and landlords are increasingly partnering with operators like IWG to enhance building value and attract corporate tenants seeking scalable office solutions.
