Jetour T1 Launching in Malaysia in Just 2 Days – Strong Specs and 5-Star Safety in Focus

The countdown has begun, with the Jetour T1 set to be officially unveiled in just 2 days at the Penang Autoshow 2026. After months of road sightings and teasers, the SUV is now ready to make its entry into the Malaysian market, and expectations are building fast.

Beyond the hype, the T1 brings a solid mechanical package. It will be offered with two turbocharged engine options, both delivering 184 PS and 290 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre variant comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, suitable for smooth and efficient daily driving, while the 2.0-litre version gets an 8-speed automatic, offering a more refined and powerful driving experience, especially for long-distance travel.

What really strengthens the T1’s appeal ahead of its launch is its 5-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating, a key factor for many Malaysian buyers. This rating indicates strong crash protection, high safety assist performance, and good overall occupant protection, placing it among the safer SUVs in its segment. The inclusion of core safety systems such as stability control, multiple airbags, and advanced driver assistance features further boosts confidence in the model even before its official debut.

Positioned as a mid-size SUV below the T2, the T1 is expected to offer a balanced mix of size, practicality, and value. With an estimated price range of RM72,000 to RM89,000 (based on China pricing), it could become a highly competitive option in Malaysia once officially launched.

With only 2 days left, the Jetour T1 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting SUV launches to watch this week.
