Jetour T2 Earns 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Rating Ahead of Malaysia Debut


The Jetour T2 has received a five-star safety rating from the ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme (ASEAN NCAP) under the 2021–2025 testing standards, with a total score of 86.50 points.



The SUV weighs 1,870 kg and performed very well in all safety tests. It scored 37.17 out of 40 points for Adult Occupant Protection, 15.94 out of 20 points for Child Occupant Protection, 17.14 out of 20 points for Safety Assist, and 16.25 out of 20 points for Motorcycle Safety.



The Jetour T2 is expected to be launched in Malaysia in the first quarter of 2026. Jetour Auto Malaysia CEO Fu Yong said that earning a five-star ASEAN NCAP rating is a big achievement for the Jetour T2. He explained that it proves the vehicle is well-designed and very safe, with a strong body structure and advanced safety systems that help protect passengers and prevent accidents.

Standard safety features on the Jetour T2 include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and seatbelt reminders for the driver, front passenger, and rear passengers.



The SUV also comes with rear seat occupant detection, blind spot monitoring on both sides, pedestrian protection, child presence detection, and ISOFIX points for child seats.

Additionally, buyers can choose optional advanced safety features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for city and highway driving, including pedestrian and motorcycle detection, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Automatic High Beam.
