1) Minimum Basic Salary
The standard monthly salary for Indonesian maids is RM1,500 ๐Ÿ’ต.

2) Rest Day and Overtime Pay
  • Maids are entitled to one rest day per week ๐Ÿ›๏ธ.
  • If a maid works on her rest day, she must be paid overtime of RM86.54 for each day worked.
3) Additional Expenses
Employers must also provide the following:

4) Payment Timeline
  • Employers must pay the maid’s salary by the 7th of the following month, directly into her bank account /transfer.
  • If the maid has not worked a full month, the salary will be paid pro-rata.

  1. Daily Rate = RM1,500 ÷ 26 = RM57.69
  2. Overtime Rate = RM57.69 × 1.5 = RM86.54
  3. Off-Day Pay for 1 Rest Day = RM86.54 × 1 = RM86.54
Total Salary:
  • Base Salary = RM1,500
  • Off-Day Pay = RM86.54
