Introduction

3Wire RS2MQTTx is a compact industrial-grade 4G IoT gateway designed to connect serial-based devices—such as PLCs, meters, and sensors—to cloud-based IoT platforms with ease and reliability.

As a streamlined version of the RS2MQTT series, the RS2MQTTx offers essential features in a smaller form factor, making it ideal for space-constrained or cost-sensitive installations. It supports data transmission over 2G/4G (GPRS/LTE) networks using MQTT or HTTP POST protocols.

Device configuration and polling intervals can be managed through the serial interface. The unit includes internal cache memory to store up to 800 data records, ensuring data integrity during temporary network outages.

Equipped with a dedicated watchdog circuit, the RS2MQTTx delivers stable, uninterrupted operation, making it a reliable solution for industrial IoT applications requiring compact deployment without compromising performance.
