Construction Progress Update: Bringing the Vision to Life

Work is moving at a steady pace on our latest site, where the transformation from a shell to a high-functioning facility is well underway. This week, our team at EKG M&E Sdn Bhd has been focusing on the critical "veins and arteries" of the building—the electrical systems and mechanical infrastructure.

Here is an inside look at the progress being made:

1. Precision Electrical Engineering

Our electrical team has successfully reached the switch-gear installation phase. We are currently wiring a series of Schneider Electric modules, ensuring a robust and organized power management system. With the wiring drops now in place for lighting and data throughout the walls and ceilings, the space is nearly ready for final fixtures.

2. Mechanical & HVAC Systems Integration

The ceiling is now home to an extensive network of galvanized steel ducting and insulated piping. A key focus has been the preparation of the refrigerant lines, featuring high-grade Armaflex insulation. These components are the backbone of the climate control system, designed to provide optimal ventilation and cooling efficiency once the project is complete.

3. Structural Finishing & Architectural Detail

The architectural character of the space is becoming visible through the newly finished recessed ceiling designs. Our team has completed the drywall sanding and "mudding," leaving a smooth, paint-ready surface. We’ve also strategically placed access panels to ensure that future maintenance of the HVAC and M&E systems is seamless and non-intrusive.

4. Protecting the Progress

As we transition into the final stages, site protection is our priority. Protective flooring layouts are currently in place to safeguard the subfloor as we prepare for the final finish.

Looking Ahead:

With the "rough-in" phase nearly complete, our next steps involve final painting, the installation of light fixtures, and the commissioning of the HVAC systems to ensure everything meets our rigorous performance standards.
