Honda e:N1 Lands in Malaysia – 500km Range, RM149.9k, New BSM System

Honda Malaysia has launched its first fully electric model, the Honda e:N1, at an introductory price of RM149,900. Imported from China (CBU), it’s RM8,000 more than the local HR-V Hybrid. The pricing likely takes advantage of the tax exemption for imported EVs, which ends on 31 December 2025.

Since opening for booking, Honda has received nearly 200 orders, with deliveries starting mid-June 2025. The e:N1 will be available in limited numbers, sold only at 8 selected dealerships along the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, all equipped for EV support.

The e:N1 uses a 68.8 kWh battery by CATL, paired with a 150 kW / 310 Nm front motor, offering 500 km range (NEDC). It supports 10 kW AC and 78 kW DC fast charging, and features a “Heart-beat” charging indicator on the front-mounted CCS2 port.

Inside, it comes with a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a 15.1-inch touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The traditional gear lever is replaced with Acura-style buttons. Safety-wise, it includes Honda Sensing, but LaneWatch has been swapped for a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM).

Due to the battery layout, Ultra Seats are not available. Colour options include Aqua Topaz Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl, and Platinum Pearl White, with black or gray interior (gray only with Aqua Topaz).

While it may not shout for attention like some Chinese EVs, the Honda e:N1 stands out for its smooth handling, comfort, and intuitive interface — making it feel more like a real car than just another gadget.
