Tonify the blood, nourish the liver, and aid sleep — this little purple fruit is truly a treasure.

Many people immediately think of red dates when they hear “blood toning and beautifying,” but I actually prefer this “fruit herb” — Mulberries (桑葚).

They are deliciously sweet and sour, and they nourish Yin, tonify the blood, and promote digestion and liver health. Mulberries are great for nourishing and balancing during the autumn and winter months. When paired with essential oils, they provide a more gentle and comfortable effect.

🍇 Mulberries (桑葚): Nourish Yin, tonify the blood, nourish the liver, and benefit the kidneys.

Mulberries are cold in nature and sweet-sour in taste. They enter the Heart, Liver, and Kidney meridians and are a classic TCM food and medicine that nourishes blood, Yin, liver, and kidneys while relieving dryness and promoting bowel movement.

They are suitable for those with Qi and blood deficiency, liver and kidney Yin deficiency, constipation, insomnia, and more.

Main Benefits of Mulberries

Tonify blood and beautify the skin — Improves pale complexion, poor circulation, and anemia.
Nourish the liver and benefit the kidneys — Alleviates lower back pain, blurred vision, tinnitus, and forgetfulness.
Moisturize the intestines and relieve constipation — Ideal for seniors, those with low vitality, and people with constipation.
Calm the mind and improve sleep — Relieves anxiety, irritability, shallow sleep, and insomnia.
Delay aging — Rich in anthocyanins, antioxidants, and skin-nourishing properties.
