PETALING JAYA (Jan 22) — Hartamas Real Estate, a leading real estate solutions provider in Malaysia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with UCAN Technologies Sdn Bhd to explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing business operations and agent performance.
Under this strategic collaboration, both parties will work on pilot programmes, proof-of-concept initiatives and knowledge-sharing efforts designed to improve operational efficiency and streamline daily workflows. The initiative reflects a growing trend of technology adoption within Malaysia’s real estate sector, including segments such as commercial property in KL, industrial land in Selangor, and office space in Bukit Jalil.
As part of the partnership, Hartamas Real Estate will lead the coordination of business requirements and encourage internal participation, while UCAN Technologies will contribute its technical expertise through AI system development, training and implementation support.
Hartamas Real Estate managing director Eric Lim said the collaboration aligns with the group’s commitment to innovation and service excellence. By adopting AI-driven tools, the company aims to enhance agent productivity, optimise internal processes and deliver greater value to clients across various property segments, including industrial property in the Subang area and factory developments in Puchong.
UCAN Technologies chief data scientist and big data researcher Dr Lau Cher Han noted that AI automation and intelligent training systems can significantly improve decision-making and efficiency. He added that the partnership demonstrates how advanced technology can be applied to real-world business challenges, creating smarter workflows and more agile teams within the property industry.
