Driving Licences Expired Over 36 Months Not Eligible for BUDI95

Driving Licences Expired Over 36 Months Not Eligible for BUDI95

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has stressed that all Malaysian Driving Licence (LMM) holders must ensure their licences remain active to qualify for the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) fuel subsidy.

According to the official statement, a driving licence is still considered active if it has not expired for more than 36 months from its last renewal date. Within this period, licence holders are still eligible for the subsidy and can renew their licence without undergoing any additional driving test.

However, JPJ clarified that if a licence has been expired for more than 36 months, the holder will no longer be eligible for the BUDI95 subsidy. In addition, they cannot renew the licence directly and will be required to retake the driving competency test at a driving institute.

JPJ also urges all drivers to renew their licences on time to avoid becoming inactive and to ensure continuous eligibility for the subsidy.

The department reaffirmed its commitment to delivering efficient, transparent, and high-integrity services in line with the Malaysia MADANI aspirations.
