Preston Technology Joins Dutch–Malaysia Advanced Manufacturing Mission in Penang

Preston Technology is honoured to participate in the Penang chapter of the Netherlands Advanced Manufacturing Trade Mission 2025, organised together with InvestPenang and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The mission gathered Dutch and Malaysian leaders to exchange insights on semiconductor innovation, supply-chain resilience, and advanced manufacturing collaboration.

A key highlight was the Technical Forum and the Panel Discussion: Building a World-Class Advanced Manufacturing Cluster in Malaysia, featuring leaders from ASML, Benchmark Electronics, TT Vision, Hitech Group and InvestPenang. Their sharing provided valuable perspectives on Penang’s rapid technological development, global competitiveness, and talent pipeline needs.

The event also emphasised Penang’s position as the “Silicon Valley of the East”, backed by over 50 years of industrial excellence, 350 multinational companies, 6,500 SMEs and a thriving ecosystem supporting high-value engineering and semiconductor manufacturing.

The mission concluded with a networking reception attended by YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang, alongside Dutch delegates. The evening offered meaningful engagement opportunities to explore future collaboration and strengthen industry ties.

For Preston Technology, the experience was truly eye-opening — reinforcing our commitment to bridging machines, systems, and people through engineering-led solutions, precision assembly technologies, and HRD Corp–ready technical training programmes.

We extend our gratitude to InvestPenang and the Netherlands Embassy for this privilege, and we look forward to contributing further to Penang’s semiconductor and automation ecosystem.
