Eco Business Park 8 Showcases Strategic Industrial Development in Johor

JOHOR (Feb 2): EcoWorld Development Group recently unveiled Eco Business Park 8 (EBP8) during its First Look event on Jan 30 at the EcoWorld Sales Gallery in Eco Business Park II (EBPII). The event offered businesses and stakeholders an exclusive preview of this latest industrial development, strategically situated within the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).

According to EcoWorld, EBP8 is set to become a central growth driver within the JS-SEZ, a cross-border initiative designed to enhance regional connectivity, strengthen Johor-Singapore economic integration, and attract high-value investments across ASEAN. With a focus on advanced manufacturing, technology-driven industries, and resilient supply chains, the JS-SEZ is being positioned as one of Southeast Asia’s next major growth engines.

“EBP8 has been carefully designed to harness the strong momentum of the JS-SEZ,” said EcoWorld deputy CEO Liew Tian Xiong. “It provides businesses with a strategic platform combining prime location, infrastructure readiness, and long-term development potential.”

Integrated Industrial Space for Long-Term Growth

Beyond offering high-quality industrial space, EBP8 is envisioned as a well-integrated business ecosystem that supports productivity and expansion. The development, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM3.75 billion, aligns with EcoWorld’s commitment to supporting Malaysia’s goal of attracting high-value investments while fostering sustainable economic growth.

Industry thought leaders shared insights on leveraging the JS-SEZ for operational efficiency and long-term business value. Financial educator Fong Wei Ziet highlighted the zone as the “ASEAN New Growth Engine: Opportunities to Multiply Wealth,” underscoring its potential for investors seeking cross-border advantages.

A panel discussion moderated by popular deejay Xiao Ma explored strategies for SMEs in an increasingly tech-driven investment environment. Panelists, including Liew, Fong, and Yeap Kok Peng, Vice-President of Invest Malaysia Facilitation Centre Johor, discussed ways businesses can navigate emerging growth corridors, enhance competitiveness, and capitalise on incentives within the JS-SEZ.

Strategic Location and Cross-Border Opportunities

Positioned under the JS-SEZ’s “Twin Cities” model, EBP8 offers international investors a gateway for innovation-led growth. The development enables efficient cross-border operations while benefiting from facilitation support, making it an attractive option for companies seeking industrial land in Selangor, factories in Puchong, office space in Bukit Jalil, and industrial property in the Subang area.

With its prime location and forward-looking design, EBP8 is set to become a flagship industrial hub, supporting Malaysia’s ambition to capture high-value investment and drive sustainable economic expansion in the region.
