ViewQwest Launches Malaysia’s First 10Gbps Internet Service

Kuala Lumpur – Singapore-based telco ViewQwest, which entered the Malaysian market in 2017, has announced its 10Gbps fibre internet service, claiming it to be the first in Malaysia available for both residential and business customers.

At the launch event, ViewQwest demonstrated its new ultra-high-speed connection with several live speed tests, including downloading Sid Meier’s Civilization VI on Steam.
While results did not reach the full 10Gbps mark, they peaked at 9.5Gbps, confirming extremely fast and stable connectivity.

Unlike standard broadband plans, this 10Gbps service is not available for direct online registration.
Interested customers must contact ViewQwest directly to arrange for a site survey.

The survey will determine:
1️⃣ Whether ViewQwest currently has fibre coverage in the area, and
2️⃣ If the infrastructure supports 10Gbps connectivity.

Only areas that meet these criteria will be eligible for installation.

The starting subscription price is RM1,800 per month, excluding one-time setup fees required to connect homes or offices to the 10Gbps network.
While the plan is targeted primarily at power users, enterprises, and high-performance households, it represents a major step forward in Malaysia’s broadband evolution.

ViewQwest’s 10Gbps launch marks Malaysia’s entry into the next era of internet speed — offering unprecedented bandwidth for streaming, gaming, and cloud applications, though currently limited to select locations.
