E&O to Host ‘Huat Come Home’ Celebration at City of Elmina, Showcasing Seri Embun Township

Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) will stage its first Chinese New Year celebration at its gallery in City of Elmina from Feb 28 to March 1, 2026. The two-day public event not only marks the festive season but also serves as a preview platform for its newly introduced residential enclave, Seri Embun.

Branded “Huat Come Home”, the celebration will take place at the E&O Gallery in City of Elmina from 10am to 6pm. The event follows strong buyer response to Laman Embun, the developer’s earlier commercial component within the same master-planned township.

Festive Programme and Public Preview

Visitors can look forward to a family-friendly itinerary, including an acrobatic lion dance performance accompanied by firecrackers scheduled for 10am on March 1. Interactive booths featuring Chinese New Year-themed games, prize redemptions, and children’s craft sessions — such as lacquer fan painting and lion dance head-making — will also be part of the celebration.

Traditional festive snacks including dragon beard candy and tanghulu will be available, enhancing the community-oriented atmosphere. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the township’s scale model and tour the show units, offering an early look at Seri Embun’s residential concept.

Elevated Living Beside Permanent Greenery

Seri Embun is positioned as an elevated residential precinct adjacent to a 2,700-acre permanent forest reserve. According to E&O, the development incorporates master planning elements designed to preserve panoramic forest views, maintain green buffers, and optimise natural ventilation — reinforcing its focus on sustainable, long-term liveability.

Planned facilities within the enclave include a purpose-built clubhouse, gymnasium, swimming pool, multipurpose hall, yoga lawn, children’s playground, surau, jacuzzi, and landscaped wellness features such as herb gardens, reflexology paths, linear parks, and jogging tracks.

E&O’s managing director has emphasised that enduring value in residential projects increasingly comes from irreplaceable attributes such as elevation, permanent green adjacency, and cohesive community planning.

Strategic Perspective: Selangor Growth Corridors and Property Trends

City of Elmina continues to strengthen its position as a key residential growth node in Selangor, benefiting from expanding infrastructure and township-driven amenities. For investors and business owners active in the Klang Valley, township maturation often creates ripple effects across adjacent segments, including industrial land in Selangor and supporting commercial components.

As residential catchments expand, demand for commercial property in KL and decentralised hubs such as office space in Bukit Jalil remains supported by population growth and business migration patterns. Meanwhile, industrial corridors in mature zones continue to see enquiries for a factory in Puchong and well-connected industrial property in Subang area, particularly among logistics operators and SMEs seeking proximity to established residential townships.

While Seri Embun is primarily a residential offering, the broader development of Selangor townships reinforces the interconnected nature of housing, commercial nodes, and industrial ecosystems — a dynamic that remains highly relevant for investors tracking long-term opportunities across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
