UMW Toyota Posts Strong H1 2026 Performance with Over 36,200 Vehicles Delivered
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) continued its positive sales momentum in the first half of 2026, delivering more than 36,200 vehicles between January and June. The company also recorded over 7,300 units sold in June, helping second-quarter deliveries exceed 20,800 units.
The encouraging results reflect steady demand for Toyota’s lineup as the brand continues to expand its offerings across multiple powertrain options.
During the second quarter, UMWT reinforced its Multi-Pathway Electrification Strategy by broadening its electrified vehicle portfolio. Customers can now choose from a wider range of models, including the Toyota bZ4X, Urban Cruiser BEV, and Hilux BEV, alongside the newly launched Toyota Yaris Cross, which is available with both petrol and hybrid powertrains.
Beyond introducing new models, UMWT also continued enhancing ownership through its Toyota Extra Mile programme. The initiative is designed to provide added value throughout the ownership journey, offering benefits such as customer rewards, vehicle protection, convenient servicing, extended warranty coverage, safety support, and dedicated after-sales care.
According to UMWT President Datuk K. Ravindran, the company’s strong second-quarter performance reflects customers’ continued confidence in Toyota’s products and mobility solutions. He noted that Toyota remains focused not only on expanding its vehicle lineup but also on delivering a complete ownership experience built around customer choice, convenience, and peace of mind.
He added that offering diverse mobility solutions, combined with a strong after-sales ecosystem, will continue to support Toyota’s long-term growth and further strengthen the brand’s position in Malaysia’s automotive market.
