Proton eMas 7 PHEV Secures 3,500+ Bookings in 1.5 Months

The Proton eMas 7 PHEV has recorded more than 3,500 bookings within just one and a half months, following the opening of order books in mid-January and its official launch on February 4.

Pro-Net says the strong response reflects growing Malaysian acceptance of electrified vehicles, with the Proton eMas brand also achieving over 5,000 deliveries in two months.

Positioned as a practical upgrade from traditional ICE vehicles, the eMas 7 PHEV combines a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (99 PS / 125 Nm) with a front electric motor (218 PS / 262 Nm), producing a combined output of 262 PS and 262 Nm. The hybrid system drives primarily on electric power, offering a smooth transition into electrified mobility.

Three variants are available — Prime, Premium and Premium Plus. The Prime and Premium feature an 18.4 kWh battery with 83 km EV range and 943 km combined range, while the Premium Plus gets a larger 29.8 kWh battery, extending EV range to 146 km and total range to 996 km.

Pricing starts from RM105,800, rising to RM125,800 for the range-topping variant (OTR without insurance), inclusive of a RM4,000 launch rebate for the first 5,000 customers.

With nearly 1,000 km combined range, strong performance and competitive pricing, the eMas 7 PHEV is shaping up to be a key player in Malaysia’s growing electrified vehicle market.
