UDA Holdings Completes Early Handover of Fully Sold Areca Terrace Phase 4B in Johor Bahru

PETALING JAYA (June 12): UDA Holdings Bhd has completed the early handover of all 153 units of Areca Terrace Phase 4B in Bandar UDA Utama, Johor Bahru, with the development fully sold ahead of completion.

In a statement, the group said the key handover ceremony for the freehold development was conducted from May 18 to May 21. The project comprises 153 two-storey terrace houses with built-ups of 1,518 sq ft, each featuring four bedrooms and three bathrooms, within a gated-and-guarded residential community that also includes a children’s playground.

The development forms part of Bandar UDA Utama, a mature township located in Johor Bahru with access to key infrastructure including educational institutions, healthcare facilities, retail centres, Johor Bahru City Centre, the Second Link to Tuas in Singapore, Senai International Airport, and the Johor Bahru Customs, Immigration and Quarantine complex.

UDA said buyers of the development were mainly professionals and young families aged between 30 and 45, which it attributed to the project’s practical layouts and modern design concept.

The company also collaborated with IKEA Tebrau Johor to design a minimalist show unit, which it said helped prospective buyers better visualise the living space and contributed to strong sales take-up.

According to acting chief operating officer of UDA Land (South) Sdn Bhd Norazim Shukor, the strong demand reflects growing confidence in UDA’s property offerings and brand positioning.

He added that the group plans to continue developing two-storey terrace housing projects that emphasise functional layouts, contemporary design, and family-oriented living features.
