This is a stroke patient caused by brain hemorrhage who was once in a coma for a period of time. Although he later woke up, he still seemed to have little awareness. His reactions were slow, his expression was dull, and his eyes were constantly looking upward, almost like rolling back, unable to focus normally on people or things around him.
After the third acupuncture treatment, we observed a very obvious improvement, especially in his eyes.
Previously, his eyes were always looking upward and appeared unfocused, almost as if he was absent-minded. But after this treatment, his eyes began to look forward more naturally like a normal person. He was no longer constantly staring upward, and his eyes could follow movement around him. He would look around and actually begin to observe his surroundings.
Another very important improvement was that when a hand was moved close to his eyes, he would naturally blink and show an avoidance response. This indicates that his nerve reflexes and awareness are gradually recovering.
For stroke patients, these small changes may seem simple, but they are actually very important signs of recovery. Acupuncture treatment does not create overnight miracles, but through consistent sessions, the body slowly regains its original functions.
Every small improvement is a sign of hope.
