for Malaysian employees.

This update requires action from both employees and HR departments to ensure payroll records and SOCSO contributions remain accurate.

Who Does This Apply To?

SOCSO Logo
Malaysian Employees
All Malaysian employees must choose whether to continue participating or opt out of the SOCSO Lindung 24/7 (Non-Employment Injury Scheme) through the SOCSO portal.
Foreign Employees
No action is required for foreign workers. Their SOCSO coverage under the compulsory scheme remains unchanged.

📌 Note:The voluntary participation option applies only to Malaysian employees.

✅ Action Required for Employees

Please complete the following steps:

Log In to the SOCSO Portal

Access the SOCSO portal and select your preferred participation option.

Download the Declaration Form

After submitting your participation choice, download the Declaration Form from the SOCSO portal. Refer to page 6 of the official user guide.

Submit the Form to HR

Submit a copy of your Declaration Form to your HR Department.

Important: Please complete this process before your July salary is released to ensure the correct SOCSO contribution is reflected in your payroll.

After receiving the employee's Declaration Form, HR should update the employee's payroll profile. For employees who opt out of the SOCSO Lindung 24/7 scheme:

Open the employee's profile in SQL Payroll.

Navigate to the employee's SOCSO settings.
Untick the "Non-Employment Injury Scheme"option for employees who have opted out.
Save the changes before processing the July payroll.

This ensures the employee's SOCSO contribution is calculated according to their selected participation status.
