JOHOR BAHRU — The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has allocated RM216.44 million to Johor under the First Rolling Plan of the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK-13) to support housing development, public amenities and community well-being.
Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming said the allocation will fund a range of initiatives, including affordable housing programmes, public housing, housing maintenance, community facilities, solid waste management, and urban and rural development.
The funding will also be used to upgrade public infrastructure such as markets, drainage systems, public toilets, recreational parks, fire stations and residential areas, as well as support landscaping projects and the safe closure of landfill sites.
The announcement was made during KPKT's Sentuhan Kasih 4.0 programme in Johor, where the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Johor state government and local authorities to ensure development projects are implemented efficiently and benefit local communities.
