From April 3–5, 2026, the 2026 GT World Challenge Asia officially ignited. The opening weekend at the iconic Sepang International Circuit proved to be a true test of endurance and tactical precision. For this season, Team Principal Darryl O'Young opted for a highly focused strategy, concentrating resources into a consolidated, single-car entry: the #77 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO. This tactical decision allowed the team to maximize setup precision and operational intensity, with the charge led by ROWE Brand Ambassador Alex Liang Jiatong and co-driver Dean Yu Hao Chen.
Race 1 : Strategic Patience
The 5.5-kilometer Sepang circuit proved punishing with minimal grip, but the #77 crew demonstrated remarkable resilience. Alex and Dean navigated the tropical heat and heavy traffic with disciplined precision, securing a commendable 3rd place finish in the ultra-competitive Silver-Am class.
Race 2 : The Epic Fightback
The second race tested the team’s resolve after a chaotic opening lap forced Alex off-track. Locked in a recovery mindset, Alex extracted relentless pace from the AMG package—optimized by ROWE’s advanced HIGHTEC lubricants. His lightning-fast pit strategy and precise driving saw him slice through the field to secure a brilliant 4th place in the Silver-Am class.
