Bursa Extends Midday Gains as KLCI Holds Higher Despite Cautious Market Breadth
Bursa Malaysia stayed slightly higher at midday on June 12, with the FBM KLCI rising 1.44 points, or 0.09%, to 1,680.97 as overnight gains on Wall Street lifted sentiment.
Market breadth remained cautious, with 481 decliners outnumbering 435 gainers. Turnover stood at 1.71 billion shares worth about RM1.06 billion, showing that investors were still selective despite the positive headline index.
The move highlights how global risk appetite can support local equities, while traders continue watching earnings, commodity prices, and broader market participation.
