Perodua has officially unveiled the C2 Concept, a futuristic electric sedan, at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026. The concept car is especially significant as it is the only world debut vehicle showcased at this year's event, giving visitors an exclusive first look at Perodua's next step in electric vehicle (EV) development.
The name "C2" stands for "Chapter 2", symbolising the second phase of Perodua's EV journey following the launch of the Perodua QV-E in December 2025. According to the company, the C2 Concept represents a completely new styling direction and was designed by a team of young Malaysian designers who wanted to showcase their vision of future mobility.
Perodua President and CEO Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the C2 Concept forms part of the company's ongoing EV roadmap and reflects its ambition of creating vehicles that are "made by Malaysians for the world." He added that feedback from visitors at KLIMS 2026 will play an important role in helping Perodua shape future EV products that can better meet customer expectations.
The concept vehicle also highlights several advanced technologies that could appear in future Perodua EVs. These include AI-assisted driving features, such as real-time navigation, charging station location services, live traffic updates, enhanced anti-theft functions and assisted parking technology, all aimed at making driving safer and more convenient.
Another key feature is the integration of Perodua's P-Circle super app, which connects users to a range of digital services, including a secure e-wallet and priority genuine parts delivery. Perodua says the app is designed to support its growing EV ecosystem and future mobility solutions.
In terms of design, the C2 Concept introduces a fresh design language that is different from the earlier eMO-inspired styling seen on previous EV concepts. The vehicle features flowing body lines, distinctive lighting elements inspired by the traditional bunga pecah lapan motif and a newly designed logo that subtly incorporates the number "2", representing the next chapter of Perodua's electric future.
Although still a concept model, the Perodua C2 Concept offers a strong preview of the company's future EV direction, combining modern design, smart technology and digital connectivity in a single package.
