Kluang Horror Crash Investigation Paper Sent to AGC

Police have completed the investigation paper into the fatal multi-vehicle crash in Simpang Renggam, Johor, and submitted it to the Attorney-General's Chambers for further instructions. The case involved a suspected reckless driving incident that killed four members of one family, while the suspect's brother also died on the way to hospital after the crash.

Kluang police said the authorities are awaiting the AGC's next direction after the papers were referred. The investigation followed the remand of a 19-year-old suspect linked to the Mercedes-Benz A250 involved in the collision, while another vehicle, a BMW 530e, was also reported in the sequence of events.

The AGC had earlier directed police to reclassify the investigation into the crash that claimed five lives as a murder probe, with the final decision on charges to be made after a full review of the police investigation findings.
