Singer 2026 Malaysia Edition Set to Premiere

Singer 2026 Malaysia Edition is preparing for its official premiere, bringing the well-known Chinese music competition format into a full Malaysia-focused production. The show is jointly created by Astro and Mango TV, with 26 local performers entering the opening stage to compete for two first-line singer slots. 🎤

The programme is scheduled to air on 30 May at 8.30pm through Astro AEC, Astro GO, On Demand and sooka. Hosted by Xiao Hui Min, the competition is designed to spotlight Malaysian Chinese-language singers across different backgrounds, giving both established and rising names a national stage.

The launch is significant because it marks a larger push to connect Malaysia's Mandarin music scene with a regional entertainment IP. For local audiences, the series is not only a talent contest but also a showcase of how Malaysian singers can stand alongside bigger Mandopop platforms and reach new listeners.
