Proton eMas Pass 10,000 Registrations in 2026

Proton eMas is growing very fast in Malaysia this year. The brand has already achieved more than 10,000 registrations in 2026, which is already higher than its total EV sales for the whole of 2025.



One of the biggest reasons for this strong growth is the new Proton eMas 7 PHEV. Since launching in February 2026, the model has received over 6,500 bookings from Malaysians. The SUV comes in three variants — Prime, Premium and Premium Plus — with prices starting from RM109,800. Proton also offered a RM4,000 rebate for early buyers, helping boost demand even more.



At the same time, the Proton eMas 5 is also performing very well. Proton delivered more than 3,000 units in the first month of 2026 alone, making it one of the hottest EV models in the country right now.



According to the latest JPJ March 2026 data, the eMas 5 became Malaysia’s best-selling EV for the month with over 2,000 registrations. The eMas 7 EV also continued to record strong sales numbers.

These numbers show that more Malaysians are now interested in EV and hybrid cars, and Proton eMas is becoming one of the strongest EV brands in the local market.
