Diesel, RON97 see 5 sen increase in latest fuel price update

The Ministry of Finance Malaysia has announced the latest weekly fuel prices, which will take effect from February 26 to March 4, 2026. Under the new pricing structure, the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia has increased by five sen, rising to RM3.04 per litre, compared to RM2.99 per litre last week. The Euro 5 B7 diesel variant is priced at RM3.24 per litre, while diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remain unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

For petrol, the subsidised RON 95 fuel under the Budi Madani (Budi95) scheme remains capped at RM1.99 per litre, with eligible Malaysian motorists entitled to a monthly quota of 300 litres. Meanwhile, the price of unsubsidised RON 95 has increased by five sen to RM2.59 per litre, and RON 97 petrol has also gone up by five sen to RM3.15 per litre. This marks the seventh weekly fuel price update for 2026, continuing Malaysia’s weekly fuel pricing mechanism that has been in place since 2019.
