KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 29): Marriott Hotels, the flagship brand of Marriott Bonvoy, has officially opened the 393-key Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel, formerly known as Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The opening follows the July agreement between TSM Global Bhd and Marriott International Inc.
Strategically located along the SPRINT highway and near Phileo Damansara MRT station, the hotel sits in Petaling Jaya’s established commercial district, offering convenience for both business travellers and families.
“Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel epitomises urban hospitality, blending a prime location with personalised service,” said Daniyal Ng, the hotel’s General Manager. The property features family-friendly accommodations, including rooms with bunk beds and a Kids Club, catering to travellers of all ages.
Other facilities include a lounge, a Chinese restaurant, the exclusive M Club Lounge for Elite and Club members, a modern fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, and 11 fully equipped meeting rooms, making it suitable for both leisure and corporate stays.
The hotel property was acquired from CP Group by a private entity linked to Datuk Lim Kheng Yew, founder of KYM Holdings Bhd, for approximately RM200 million in July.
For investors and businesses looking to capitalise on commercial property in KL or office space in Bukit Jalil, the opening of the Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel reinforces the area’s potential as a thriving business hub. Its proximity to major highways and transit lines also makes it an attractive location for industrial property in Subang area and factory developments in Puchong, enhancing the overall investment landscape in Selangor.
