Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Welcomes Takashi Sakamaki as New CEO
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has named Takashi Sakamaki as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), stepping into the role starting today. He takes over from Shinya Ikeda, who has helmed the company since October 2021. Sakamaki brings with him over two decades of international experience in the automotive sector, with a strong background in business strategy, exports, and market expansion. Having served in key markets such as China, Indonesia, and Mexico, he has also held senior roles within Mitsubishi Corporation, contributing to the company’s global growth story. Speaking on his new appointment, Sakamaki said he was honoured to lead the company during a pivotal time for the automotive industry. He emphasized MMM’s continued commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction, while also aiming to inspire an adventurous spirit among Malaysian drivers through Mitsubishi’s vehicles.
