Aging with Dignity – Malaysia’s First Senior Care Carnival

Invited by MASOC CARE to participate in Malaysia's first carnival advocating independence and dignity for seniors. Elderly "babies" (a term of endearment for seniors) could exchange "currency" earned through various games for health check-ups and dietary advice from diet therapists and nutritionists.

The staff designed several interactive stations to let participants experience the joys and challenges of caregiving:

▪️ Simulating the difficulty of walking with limited mobility
▪️ Experiencing the struggle of putting on/taking off clothes after a stroke
▪️ Feeling the impact of muscle stiffness caused by Parkinson's disease
▪️ Cognitive games that mimic memory decline...

The most touching part was seeing many children, teenagers, and people of all ages and genders willingly trying these activities, while the elderly in their families grinned from ear to ear.

Malaysia is becoming an increasingly aging society. It's important to plan for senior living early—don’t wait until you're old with money in the bank but no children around, left alone staring at the sky.

Feel free to inquire about elderly care courses!
