KUALA LUMPUR (June 15): The Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) has appointed Ahmad Farrin Mokhtar as its new chief executive, effective June 8. He succeeds Zainora Zainal, who retired on Jan 15.
According to CIDB, Ahmad Farrin brings extensive experience across multiple areas of the construction industry, including industry policy development, corporate management, enforcement, business development, international relations, and capacity building for Malaysia’s construction sector.
Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in shaping CIDB’s strategic direction. He also contributed to the development of the CIDB Strategic Plan 2021–2025 and supported initiatives under the National Construction Policy 2030 in collaboration with the Ministry of Works.
The appointment letter was officially presented by Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi at his office in Kuala Lumpur.
