Global real estate technology group Juwai IQI recently hosted its largest international convention to date in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together hundreds of agents, executives and property professionals from across its worldwide network.
Held on May 13 and 14, the convention gathered participants from 35 countries as the company celebrated a year in which it transacted US$4.3 billion (approximately RM17.08 billion) worth of property globally.
According to Kashif Ansari, the event reflected the company’s growing position as one of the world’s most active cross-border real estate networks and property technology firms.
Carrying the theme “The Rise of Unstoppable Next Gen Warriors”, the convention focused heavily on digital branding, artificial intelligence, technology adoption and youth development within the evolving real estate industry.
One of the featured speakers was Bobby Saputra, widely recognised online as the “billionaire’s son”, who shared insights on content creation, digital storytelling and audience engagement through his session titled “The 1 Billion Views Story: Behind Indonesia’s Most Viral Billionaire Son”.
According to the company, Saputra has accumulated more than one billion views and over 2.5 million followers across multiple social media platforms, highlighting the increasing influence of digital personalities in shaping brand visibility and consumer engagement.
Daniel Ho said the convention attracted a broad cross-section of industry participants, including real estate negotiators, developers, marketers, hotel operators and property management professionals.
He noted that today’s real estate professionals require not only strong industry expertise but also advanced technological capabilities to remain competitive in an increasingly digital environment.
The two-day event was structured around three major themes — sales, personal branding and content creation, as well as artificial intelligence and future technology.
Nabeel Mungaye spoke on the importance of future-proofing agent careers through the company’s technology ecosystem, including proprietary AI-driven tools designed to enhance productivity and reduce administrative workloads.
Meanwhile, Bryan Low discussed strategies for building personal brands and generating leads through digital platforms, reinforcing the growing importance of online visibility in the property sector.
Several younger agents, including Daris Ooi, Gabriel Khaw and Jayden Ng, also shared their experiences entering the real estate industry through unconventional career paths. They highlighted persistence, adaptability and creative problem-solving as key factors behind their growth and success.
The convention also marked the official launch of IQI Youth, a new initiative aimed at nurturing younger agents through four core pillars — growth, learning, influence and leadership development.
Ansari said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to equipping the next generation of agents with the mentorship, structure and technology needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive industry landscape.
Juwai IQI stated that it completed transactions involving more than 48,000 properties in 2024 and currently operates a network of over 65,000 real estate agents across 35 countries.
