Penang Green Summit 2025

31 October – 1 November 2025

Moving Towards Sustainable Energy

Binsen Green participated in Penang Green Summit 2025, held from 31 October to 1 November 2025 at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC). Under the theme “Moving Towards Sustainable Energy,” the two-day summit brought together government representatives, industry leaders, academics, innovators, and sustainability stakeholders to discuss Malaysia’s transition towards cleaner energy and a low-carbon future.

Organised by Penang Green Council and co-organised by Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang (MBPP) and Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai (MBSP), the summit featured a conference, exhibition, networking opportunities, and a gala dinner. The event provided a platform for different sectors to exchange knowledge, explore sustainability solutions, and build connections around Malaysia’s energy transition.

Driving the Transition Towards Sustainable Energy

Penang Green Summit 2025 focused on five key areas: innovation in the energy sector, Malaysia’s energy transformation, energy use within the manufacturing sector, digitalisation of the energy sector, and pathways towards sustainable energy.

These areas addressed both current challenges and future opportunities. Discussions examined how businesses, government agencies, technology providers, investors, and other stakeholders play a role in improving energy efficiency and supporting the transition towards lower-carbon operations.

The programme also covered topics such as renewable energy, hydrogen-based mobility, carbon markets, energy project financing, energy efficiency, digital technologies, and private-sector investment.

Connecting Sustainability with Business

Sustainability affects how businesses manage energy, materials, resources, waste, and their environmental impact. Penang Green Summit 2025 provided businesses with access to discussions surrounding these areas while connecting environmental objectives with practical industry action.

For Binsen Green, this direction aligns with our focus on sustainable packaging solutions. While the summit centred on sustainable energy, the wider transition towards responsible business practices also involves reducing unnecessary waste and reviewing the materials businesses use throughout their operations.

Binsen Green supports businesses seeking alternatives to conventional plastic packaging through sustainable food packaging solutions for food service, hospitality, catering, retail, healthcare, and other commercial applications.

Supporting Sustainable Material Choices

Packaging forms part of the environmental footprint of many businesses, particularly within the food and beverage sector. Choosing suitable packaging materials helps businesses address plastic waste while supporting broader sustainability initiatives.

Binsen Green focuses on packaging solutions designed for businesses seeking more responsible material choices. Our product range includes compostable food packaging and compostable bags for different food service, takeaway, kitchen, and waste management applications.

Participation in sustainability-focused events provides Binsen Green with opportunities to engage with businesses and organisations working towards environmental goals while keeping informed about developments across Malaysia’s sustainability sector.

Building Industry Connections

Networking formed an important part of Penang Green Summit 2025. The event connected businesses, policymakers, researchers, technology providers, investors, and sustainability professionals from different sectors.

For Binsen Green, these connections support knowledge exchange and discussions about how sustainable packaging fits within wider corporate sustainability strategies.

Events such as Penang Green Summit also provide opportunities for businesses to learn from different industries. Energy, manufacturing, waste management, sustainable materials, technology, and investment are closely connected when companies plan their environmental strategies.

Towards More Responsible Business Practices

Penang Green Summit 2025 highlighted the role of collaboration in Malaysia’s sustainability transition. Government, businesses, researchers, investors, and solution providers each contribute different expertise and resources.

For businesses, sustainability involves practical decisions across daily operations. Energy consumption, packaging materials, waste management, procurement, and supply chains all form part of this process.

Binsen Green supports this transition through sustainable packaging solutions that help businesses review their dependence on conventional plastic packaging and adopt more responsible packaging practices.

Penang Green Summit 2025 provided a valuable platform for Binsen Green to engage with the wider sustainability community, gain industry insights, and support conversations around environmental responsibility and sustainable business development.
