Premium Longjing Tea Prices Stay Firm as 2026 Spring Tea Supply Tightens
Premium Chinese green tea remains one of the most watched seasonal categories in the tea market. Recent online listings for 2026 spring tea show that West Lake Longjing and Mingqian Longjing products are still being positioned around early-harvest, premium-grade and gift-box formats, with common pack sizes ranging from small tasting cans to 150g-250g gift packs.
Market observation: price movement is being driven less by one single factor and more by the usual spring-tea supply chain pressure: short picking windows before Qingming, manual harvesting costs, limited early buds, and strong demand for high-grade gift tea. JD.com's Longjing price quotation category currently lists many 2026 new-tea West Lake/Mingqian Longjing products from well-known tea brands, showing that premium spring-tea supply is active in retail channels. In earlier market reporting by Sanxiang Metropolis Daily / New Hunan, delayed Mingqian tea availability and reduced output were linked to higher prices for top-quality West Lake Longjing, with some high-end retail examples reaching very high per-kilogram levels.
For buyers, the practical signal is clear: check harvest period, origin, grade, net weight, packaging format and seller credibility before comparing prices. The same name "Longjing" can cover very different quality bands, so per-gram comparison and harvest-date verification are more useful than looking only at the headline price.
