Perodua QV-E Heading to Sabah and Sarawak, Available from July 15

Perodua has announced that the first batch of its QV-E electric vehicle (EV) is on its way to Sabah and Sarawak. The update was shared on the company's social media on June 25, 2026, several months after the EV was first launched in December 2025.

Customers in East Malaysia can expect the Perodua QV-E to arrive at selected showrooms from July 15, 2026. Test drives and bookings will also begin at participating outlets, with the full list of locations to be announced soon.

The company recently revised the QV-E's pricing. Buyers can choose between purchasing the vehicle with the battery included or through a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan.

For Peninsular Malaysia, the QV-E is priced at RM93,999, but with Perodua's RM6,500 rebate, the price drops to RM87,499. Under the BaaS option, the car costs RM69,999, or RM63,499 after the rebate. Customers choosing BaaS will also pay a RM215 monthly battery subscription fee.

In Sabah and Sarawak, prices are RM3,000 higher. The outright purchase price is RM96,999, reduced to RM90,499 after the rebate. The BaaS version is priced at RM72,999, or RM66,499 with the rebate, while the monthly battery fee remains RM215.

The BaaS package includes unlimited mileage and guarantees that the battery will maintain at least 70% battery health throughout the leasing period. Buyers who purchase the battery receive an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty, also with a minimum 70% battery health guarantee.

The QV-E is powered by a 204 PS (150 kW) electric motor producing 285 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 165 km/h.

Power comes from a 52.5-kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a driving range of up to 370 km (WLTP). The EV supports 60 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in about 30 minutes, while 6.6 kW AC charging takes around eight hours for a full charge.
