Keeping the Momentum of Food Education Alive! Johor 3-Day High-Energy Itinerary Recap

Just last week, our team turned into total "live wires," rushing off to Half Acre Light (半亩天光) in Johor. In just three short days, we successfully pulled off two high-energy seminars and two supermarket nutrition workshops! It was an incredibly packed schedule, but it allowed us to see food education in its most beautiful, vibrant form.

Currently, our core team consists of three experienced instructors. With the dedication and coordination of our team member, Zi Rui, we demonstrated a powerful teaching capacity—handling up to 6 classes and guiding 30 students in a single day for deep-dive learning. We warmly welcome schools, non-profit organizations, and corporate bodies from all over Malaysia to reach out. Let's bring fun and engaging food education straight to your community!

💡 Highlights from Our 3-Day Johor Journey

  • Highlight 1: Supermarket Nutrition—Mastering Label Reading to Avoid Pitfalls During the supermarket workshops, we moved the classroom right to the front lines of daily life. Parents and children walked through the aisles with our instructors, learning firsthand how to decode the "nutrition facts" on packaging. From spotting hidden sugars to identifying food additives, everyone was shocked to realize how many secrets their usual groceries held! By mastering food labels, everyone can now shop more wisely and truly take charge of their own health.

  • Highlight 2: Children's Nutrition Championship—Even Parents Got It Wrong! The next day, we visited a tuition center to engage with the kids. To bring rigid facts to life, we split the children into two teams for a fast-paced nutrition quiz competition.

"Question: Is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable?"

The moment the question was popped, the room erupted! Even some of the parents listening in from the back got it wrong. Learning about nutrition through this kind of interactive competition makes it incredibly fun, ensuring the knowledge sticks with the kids long after the game ends.

  • Highlight 3: Stand-Up Comedy Style Book Sharing—Food Education Exactly as I Imagined For this book sharing session, perhaps because I had a cup of "seriously amazing coffee" right before going on, my dopamine completely spiked. I ended up running the entire session in full stand-up comedy mode to talk about nutrition! The crowd's reaction blew me away—some were laughing out loud without a care in the world, while others were practically on their knees laughing. Backstage, I even wondered: Was it really that funny? Yet, it deeply moved me. Seeing the stage and the audience laughing together—this is exactly the lively, soulful food education that I've practiced for years and always dreamed of.

💼 Putting 20 Years of Experience to Work as Upcoming Events Explode

Looking back at these three days, I am incredibly grateful for my nearly 20 years of experience leading teams and working with children. Those camp-leading techniques and quick wits from 10 years ago suddenly kicked in automatically. Thanks to the amazing response in Johor, the moment the trip ended, we immediately connected with several local organizations to lock in more activities in Johor Bahru. The next few months are definitely going to keep us on our toes!

Currently, our team is already busy planning upcoming stops in Kelantan and Sarawak. If you would like to inject fun, practical health knowledge into your local community, school, or workplace, be sure to lock in a slot with us soon!

🎉 Celebration! "爱吃的营养学" Heads into Second Print Within 3 Months!

Finally, I have some thrilling news to share: my first book, "爱吃的营养学," which I’ve been promoting across Malaysia over the past three months, is officially heading into its second print run!

In this brand-new second edition, we didn't just pour our efforts into fixing typos from the first print; we have also officially updated it with our latest professional registration council numbers. Holding the revised book in my hands and looking back at the non-stop travel and sweat over the last three months, I suddenly felt that every bit of persistence and effort has been completely worth it.

Thank you to every single one of you who has supported us along the way. Let's keep walking this food education path with smiles all around!
