πŸ“¦ Top Load Compression Testing – Evaluating Container Stacking Strength

Today, I had the opportunity to attend a technical sharing session by Victor Company on Top Load Compression Testing using the VEW 2308E system.

This test is commonly used to evaluate the ability of containers, bottles, jerrycans, and packaging products to withstand vertical compressive loads during storage and transportation.

Why is Top Load Compression Testing important?

βœ” Determines container stacking strength

βœ” Evaluates resistance to deformation under load

βœ” Helps prevent packaging failure during warehousing

βœ” Supports product quality and packaging optimization

How does the test work?

1️⃣ The container is positioned on the test platform

2️⃣ A controlled compressive load is applied from the top

3️⃣ The load and displacement are continuously monitored

4️⃣ The test continues until a specified load, deformation, or failure point is reached

5️⃣ Results are analyzed to determine the container's compression performance

This testing is particularly important for products that are stacked during storage, shipping, and distribution, where insufficient compression strength may lead to deformation, leakage, or product damage.

A big thank you to the Mr. Samson from Victor for the informative presentation and practical insights into packaging performance testing.
