A 3-year-old child was playing at home and accidentally fell after jumping off a sofa, resulting in an injury to the left clavicle.
The family immediately brought the child to the hospital for examination. After assessment, the doctor recommended surgical treatment. However, considering the child’s young age, the family hoped to explore a more conservative treatment option.
Initially, only arm immobilization was done and the child was sent home to rest, but the pain and discomfort did not improve significantly.
After seeking information from various sources, the family learned that Traditional Chinese orthopedic treatment (bone-setting) may help with fracture alignment and healing in suitable cases. They then brought the child to Guoyitang for further evaluation and treatment.
Following a thorough examination by the physician, professional bone-setting techniques were applied, together with gentle Traditional Chinese medical conditioning, carried out step by step.
With continuous observation and treatment, the condition of the child’s clavicle gradually improved, and the recovery progressed well.
