The opening of the Gerbang Nusajaya Interchange marks a significant step in reinforcing Iskandar Puteri’s role as Flagship B of the JS-SEZ. The interchange is scheduled to open to the public at 12am on Saturday, Dec 13.

ISKANDAR PUTERI (Dec 11): UEM Sunrise has officially unveiled the Gerbang Nusajaya Interchange in Iskandar Puteri, which will open to the public at 12am on Dec 13. This new interchange provides a direct link to the Malaysia–Singapore Second Link Expressway, aiming to ease congestion, shorten travel times, and boost cross-border connectivity.

Located about 5km from the Sultan Abu Bakar CIQ, the interchange is expected to enable an estimated 15-minute commute to Tuas Checkpoint, strengthening Johor’s appeal to investors, businesses, and skilled professionals.

The project is a key component of the 4,471-acre Gerbang Nusajaya integrated township with a GDV of RM45 billion. It will support access to residential, commercial, and industrial areas such as Nusajaya Tech Park (NTP) and SILC, both hubs for high-tech manufacturing, logistics, and digital industries.

Strong market demand continues in the area, highlighted by rapid sell-outs of projects like Aspira Hills. The new interchange is positioned as a catalyst for economic growth under the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), reinforcing Iskandar Puteri’s status as a prime destination for investment, jobs, and long-term living.

The investment is expected to be positioned as a catalyst for economic growth, social mobility and international connectivity under the JS-SEZ.

It links established neighbourhoods with future phases of the development, including more than 2,900 residential units and commercial spaces slated through 2026.

The enhanced interchange is expected to improve business efficiency, and complement ongoing federal and state initiatives aimed at attracting high-quality investments.

The opening of the Gerbang Nusajaya Interchange marks a significant step in reinforcing Iskandar Puteri’s role as Flagship B of the JS-SEZ, enhancing the city’s appeal as a destination for investment, employment, and long-term living.
