In a humble village in Besut, a young man was born into a life of simplicity, yet raised with strong values and discipline. Muhammad Faiz Ridzuan, the sixth of seven siblings, never allowed his background to be an excuse for not achieving success.
From a young age, he showed an extraordinary interest in the world of electronics. While other children were busy playing, he preferred to spend his time dismantling old radios, understanding the function of every component and attempting to repair broken equipment. What others saw as mere scrap metal, he saw it as an opportunity to learn.
This interest wasn't just a passing phase but it evolved into a deep-seated desire to understand and master the field.
Gaining Knowledge & Seeking Experience
His journey continued as he pursued studies in Electronics at the Malaysia-Japan Industrial Institute (MJII). At this institution, he didn't just learn theory but he also strengthened the practical skills that would become the foundation of his career.
However, for Faiz, knowledge wasn't confined to the classroom. Driven by a high spirit of inquiry, he was willing to travel back and forth to visit more experienced acquaintances in the telecommunications field just to learn firsthand. This eagerness to learn allowed him to mature and master skills much faster than his peers.
By the age of 17, he had already started a small telecommunications shop using his own savings and support from his family. Though small, this step marked the starting point of the grand journey ahead.
First Steps into the Business World
After completing his studies around 2016 at the MARA-owned institution (MJII), he chose not to rely on a traditional 9-to-5 job but instead he made the bold decision to start his own business.
Starting with just a tiny space that served as an "incubator," he began offering phone repair services, selling accessories and building customer trust from the ground up. At the time, smartphone technology was still evolving and not everyone saw the massive potential within the industry.
But he saw the opportunity early...
Day after day, despite facing challenges such as a lack of customers, limited capital and income instability he manage to remain consistent. Every customer was treated with honesty and every job was performed with precision.
From those humble beginnings, the brand is now known as Doktor Gadget was born.
Through continuous effort, his business began to flourish. Customer trust grew, his reputation solidified and opportunities for expansion opened wide.
