2025 Jetour VT9 Officially Launched – 7-Seater SUV from RM118k
The 2025 Jetour VT9 has officially made its debut in Malaysia at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, launched by Jetour Auto Malaysia. Initially introduced as a fully-imported (CBU) model, the VT9 will later be locally assembled (CKD). Selling price from RM118,800, the seven-seater D-segment SUV comes in two variants: the Comfort and the Prime, with the Prime priced slightly higher at RM123,800. Dimension-wise, the Jetour VT9 measures 4,724 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, riding on a 2,720 mm wheelbase. Although it shares the same segment as the Proton X90, the VT9 is smaller in overall size except for width, offering a slightly broader stance. Compared to the more daring Jetour Dashing, the VT9 features a more conventional yet aggressive design, highlighted by sculpted bumpers and quad tailpipes. When it comes to practicality, the VT9 offers 57 litres of tank volume with the third-row seats up, expandable to a substantial 1,680 litres when folded. On the outside, the Jetour VT9 is well-equipped with automatic and adjustable LED headlights, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), an electric powered tailgate, heated and power-folding side mirrors, and 19-inch wheels. If you opt for the Prime variant, you’ll also enjoy a LED welcome light and a panoramic sunroof for added luxury. Inside the cabin, you’ll find a modern and high-tech setup with a dual 10.25-inch display for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. The interior also features a jet-inspired gear lever, a wireless phone charger, and a ambient light. Standard features include rear air-con vents, paddle shifters, leather seats, a six-way power adjustable driver’s seat, adjustable rear seat backrests, and a four-speaker sound system. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Choosing the Prime variant adds an auto-dimming rearview mirror, memory function for the driver’s seat, and upgrades the audio system to six speakers. Powering the VT9 is a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). However, Jetour has not yet provided official figures for its 0-100 km/h time or top speed. Safety-wise, the Comfort variant includes four airbags, cruise control, a reverse camera with parking guidelines, and a 360-degree surround view camera. The Prime variant offers additional protection with six airbags, rear-cross traffic alert, door opening warning, and lane change warning. As a new addition to the Jetour lineup in Malaysia, the VT9 offers attractive ownership perks, including five times free service, a seven-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, and a 10-year/1,000,000 km engine warranty. Customers can choose from five stylish colours: Star Black, Khaki White, Phantom Grey, Tech Grey, and Aurora Green.
