KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 23): Berjaya Hartanah Bhd has reached a major construction milestone with the successful topping-out of OAKA Residences, following the completion of the project’s main structural works.
The high-end residential development, located on freehold land in Bukit Jalil, carries a gross development value of RM373 million and is now progressing towards final construction works, delivery and eventual handover to homeowners.
Situated on approximately 0.89 hectares of prime land, OAKA Residences consists of two 30-storey towers offering a total of 350 residential units. The project is designed to cater to modern urban families, with unit sizes ranging from 882 sq ft to 1,509 sq ft. Each home features a private balcony or lanai, a utility or storage area, and between two to three dedicated car park bays.
Residents will have access to a range of lifestyle-oriented facilities, including an infinity swimming pool, a rooftop sky garden with pavilion, a children’s play area, and a half basketball court — reinforcing Bukit Jalil’s growing appeal as a liveable, well-planned township that complements nearby office space in Bukit Jalil and surrounding commercial hubs.
The topping-out ceremony was attended by Berjaya group representatives, project consultants, contractors, business partners and invited stakeholders, marking a key milestone in the development’s delivery timeline.
Berjaya Land Bhd group chief executive officer Syed Ali Shahul Hameed said the completion of the structure reflects the group’s commitment to construction quality, disciplined execution and timely delivery.
He added that the project has received encouraging market response, with steady sales momentum signalling buyer confidence in the development’s design, location and value proposition. According to him, demand for thoughtfully planned homes remains resilient, particularly in established growth areas within Kuala Lumpur.
Berjaya Land director of property sales and marketing Tan Tee Ming said the project’s progress also underscores strong market confidence, driven by its freehold status, efficient layouts, comprehensive facilities and strategic location in Bukit Jalil — an area increasingly supported by commercial property in KL and improved connectivity across the Klang Valley.
OAKA Residences benefits from proximity to key lifestyle and commercial destinations such as Pavilion Bukit Jalil and Tropika Commercial Retail, as well as reputable educational institutions including International Medical University and Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation. Healthcare facilities such as Columbia Asia Hospital are also located nearby.
In terms of accessibility, the development is well connected via major highways including Kesas, MEX and the Kuala Lumpur–Seremban Expressway. Public transport options are available through several LRT stations located within a three-kilometre radius, further enhancing the project’s appeal for owner-occupiers and long-term investors.
As Bukit Jalil continues to mature alongside surrounding industrial land in Selangor and employment centres across the Klang Valley, developments such as OAKA Residences highlight the ongoing demand for quality residential projects located near commercial and business ecosystems.
