Jetour T2 Officially Launched in Malaysia – Rugged SUV With 245 HP
Jetour has expanded its presence in Malaysia with the launch of the Jetour T2, a rugged SUV designed to handle both city driving and off-road adventures. The model becomes the third Jetour vehicle available in the Malaysian market, following the Dashing and VT9.
In Malaysia, the Jetour T2 is offered in a single variant with a price tag of RM156,800, excluding insurance, road tax, and other related fees. To celebrate its launch, Jetour is offering an exclusive RM2,000 rebate for the first 3,000 customers.
Dimension-wise, the Jetour T2 measures 4,785 mm in length with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, placing it firmly within the mid-size SUV segment. The vehicle features a boxy and rugged exterior design, giving it a strong road presence and an adventurous character that suits off-road enthusiasts.
Powering the Jetour T2 is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 245 hp and 375 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and an all-wheel drive (AWD) system known as the XWD Intelligent Drive System.
This drivetrain can automatically switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive depending on road conditions. Drivers can also choose from seven driving modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Rock. In addition, the X-Smart Mode automatically selects the most suitable driving mode based on the terrain. For off-road capability, the T2 comes with crawl control and a wading depth of up to 700 mm.
Inside the cabin, the Jetour T2 offers a modern and technology-focused interior. A 15.6-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto sits at the centre, complemented by a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a Sony 12-speaker sound system, and a 50W wireless charging pad.
On the safety front, the SUV is equipped with six airbags and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The Jetour T2 is available in three exterior colours: Khaki White, Aviation Silver, and Carbon Black. Buyers will also benefit from a seven-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, along with an extended engine warranty of up to 10 years or 1,000,000 km.
With its combination of rugged styling, strong performance, and modern technology, the Jetour T2 aims to position itself as a compelling new option in Malaysia’s growing off-road SUV segment.
