Proton Introduces Limited X70 Sport Edition to Boost Appeal

Proton is set to strengthen its SUV lineup with the introduction of the X70 Sport Edition, a limited-run variant designed to offer a more exclusive and sporty look. Based on the Premium variant, this special edition is limited to just 600 units, making it a rare option for buyers.

The X70 Sport Edition will be offered exclusively in Quartz Black, giving it a bold and aggressive presence on the road. To further enhance its appeal, Proton has added a range of visual upgrades worth approximately RM6,000. These include a red-accented sporty body kit covering the front, sides, and rear, along with black 19-inch alloy wheels and a distinctive Sport Edition badge.

Inside, the cabin continues the sporty theme with red contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel, and armrest. The front seats also feature Sport Edition embroidery, while a complimentary boot tray is included for added practicality.

Under the hood, there are no mechanical changes. The SUV retains its 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, producing 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Fuel consumption is rated at 6.9L/100 km, offering improved efficiency.

Pricing for the X70 Sport Edition will be officially announced on 16 April, although bookings are already open. Customers can also expect to view the model at selected showrooms soon.

Currently, the Proton X70 lineup is priced from RM106,800 for the Executive variant and RM119,800 for the Premium variant, positioning the Sport Edition as a more stylish and exclusive alternative for enthusiasts.
