Don't make a mistake! Ask these 4 questions before you sign any package:
If your husband drives/rides via Woodlands, choose centres near CIQ (Pelangi/Century/Town). If he works in Tuas/Jurong, choose Bukit Indah or Iskandar Puteri area. Wrong location means hours stuck in traffic jams!
This is crucial! Good JB centres will assist new parents in going to JPN for Birth Certificate registration and even arranging passport photos. This saves the father at least 2-3 days of Annual Leave.
Many husbands rent a room in SG and only return to JB on weekends. Must confirm: Is there an extra charge for husband staying over? If you have a first child, do they offer daycare or kid-friendly rooms?
In case of high jaundice levels, does the centre have phototherapy lights? Or are they near specialist hospitals (Gleneagles/Columbia/KPJ)? This gives peace of mind to parents who are physically away in Singapore.
