Swiss watchmaker Rado unveiled its 2025 novelties at a sophisticated, invite-only event at If Only Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur — offering a first-hand look at the brand’s latest design breakthroughs and setting a new benchmark in timepiece innovation.
The star of the day? Undoubtedly, the Rado Anatom. First introduced in 1983, this iconic model returns with a bold, contemporary twist that’s redefining ergonomic luxury. Its new High-Tech Ceramic bracelet doesn’t just elevate its design appeal — it transforms the wearing experience. With fluid, skin-friendly links that mould seamlessly to the wrist and adjust quickly to body temperature, the Anatom isn’t just a watch. It’s a statement of comfort, style, and future-forward thinking.
And having had the chance to personally try on the new Anatom, I must say: there are truly no words to describe the sensation. It’s something that simply must be experienced. The way the bracelet melds fluidly onto the skin is astonishing — you owe it to yourself to walk into a Rado boutique and feel it.
Mr. Rene Furler, Regional Brand Manager for Rado, presenting the 2025 Novelties during the exclusive event in Kuala Lumpur.
The event, led by Mr. Rene Furler, Rado’s Regional Brand Manager, offered guests a closer look at the brand’s dedication to material mastery and human-centric design. A sleek mini lightbox studio encouraged attendees to capture every intricate detail of each timepiece — from polished finishes to innovative mechanics — sparking thoughtful conversation and visual storytelling.
Among the novelties was a reimagined DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan, bringing a retro-futuristic edge to a cult classic. Also showcased was the return of the Captain Cook Over-Pole, now redefined as a travel-friendly worldtimer in a slim 39mm gold-coloured PVD case, finished with a black ceramic bezel inscribed with global cities.
Meanwhile, the True Square Skeleton proved why Rado remains at the forefront of modern design, debuting in a matt high-tech ceramic body that’s both edgy and refined.
Beyond its technical appeal, the new Anatom is a triumph of tactile design. The watch is powered by a reliable Rado calibre R766 movement, offering 72 hours of power reserve and up to 5 bar (50m) water resistance. A clear box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating provides clarity and durability, while the semi-transparent tinted dial showcases the automatic movement beneath — a nod to Rado’s continued interplay between form and function.
Whether it’s the classic black, vibrant blue, or striking olive green dial, each Anatom offers a confident elegance that feels at home in both modern wardrobes and vintage collections.
Rado’s 2025 collection isn’t just a lineup of new watches — it’s a bold vision of where watchmaking is headed. Each piece blends high-tech materials with refined aesthetics, creating wearable art for the modern age.
To truly understand the magic, step into a Rado boutique and try the Anatom on for yourself. Sometimes, the best things in life can’t be put into words — they have to be felt.
